A day for our Grandparents, #LoveJatao

We all have a strong bond with our grand parents, something that cannot be described in words. Be it the trips in summer vacations, or late night stories by your grandmother, or a long walk with your grandfather, be it anything. That eternal, selfless care is describable beyond words.

My grandfather would share with us the stories of life, the lessons to remember, the ideologies to apply, the cautions to take, and the experiences to learn from. The biggest of the colleges wont teach you those practical aspects of life. On the other hand my grandmother would make sure we eat loads, eat healthy, eat at the right time, sleep properly and be in the best of our health. Together, they are our shields from the worldly problems.

The Grandparents day is nearing (10th Sept), and unlike other days, this day has to be spent more connected to our grandparents, than talking about it on social media, or doing our regular affairs. Ofcourse, its not about doing it on one day, but yes, always.

I’ve well planned the day in advance with our society members & secretary and we have decided to make this a memorable day for all the aged members, so that no one is left out of the celebration and realization of how important they are.

The community hall is going to telecast our grandparents all time favorite movie ‘Sholay’ on big screen with special seating arrangements for the elderly. The kids from our society will perform dance and skits specially themed on grandparents. The food is old style, with all time hit delicacies like Tikki Chhole, Dahi chat, etc.

The programme will end with the most senior folks of the society sharing their experiences with their grandchildren and they’ll be honored.

Ofcourse, the day will end with the whole family sitting together next to our grandparents, no TV, no Wifi, just talking and listening to our grandparents, and ensure they get the attention and love they deserve, not just today, but always.

It will surely be very small attempt as compared to their selfless love over the years, but I am sure it will bring a smile on their face and that will make this Grandparents Day a success.

I look forward to hear from you how would you celebrate Grandparents Day. Do share a selfie with your grandparents on Sept. 10, 2017 on Twitter or Facebook with #LoveJatao & tag @blogadda to win a goodie from Parachute Advansed.

Watch this video, and I am sure you’ll get goosebumps. Go on –

Dont forget. #LoveJatao this Grandparents Day !
